Don't leave your child in a hot car for too long

DON'T leave your child in a hot car for too long - the vehicle can heat up like a greenhouse, say experts.
Mr Jan Null, an adjunct professor at San Francisco State University, said that a car's interior temperature can rise by some 10deg C above the outdoor temperature within 10 minutes and jump some 24deg C within an hour.
"I've found in my own vehicles that a temperature of 82deg C for the dashboard is not uncommon," he added.
Sunlight isn't efficient at heating air, but it quickly heats up plastics, metals and other surfaces, which radiate heat, reported Cincinnati news website The Enquirer.
Mr Null also said that infants and babies are especially vulnerable - their bodies overheat twoto three times faster than an adult's.
That parents would leave children in cars has experts shaking their heads.
"If you had a briefcase with a million dollars in it, would you leave it in your car unattended?" Mr Null asked.
