LAST Saturday, I bought an Ez-Link card for $15 but I found out that only $7 can be used for paying for fares the balance of $5 and $3 are for the card and deposit respectively.
This works out to only 46.7 per cent of the card's value being used for paying transport fares. So much for encouraging people to use public transport.
