Cat on windscreen causes this crash

CALL it a coincidence.

One woman's encounter with a black cat on Christmas gave her such a fright that she lost control of her car at Hougang.

Her car rammed into a wall under Block 570, Hougang Street 51.

The woman, who gave her name only as Madam Pauline, told Shin Min Daily News that the cat "landed on her windscreen" while she was trying to park her car.

Earlier this month, Madam Pauline, 55, said she encountered another black cat which had dashed across the road.

She managed to avoid the cat but her car knocked into a parked motorcycle.

Said Madam Pauline, a resident of the estate, of yesterday's accident: "I blacked out temporarily.

A couple and two youths helped me out of the car.

"When the car's engine was switched off, pieces of the wall started to crumble."

Madam Pauline, who was alone in the car, said she suffered abrasions on her left knee and right hand.

Nobody else was hurt in the accident, said a police spokesman.

The police are investigating.
