Plane takes to the expressway

The roads were clear. While everyone was sleeping early yesterday morning, a plane was stranded under a pedestrian bridge for more than an hour.

Apparently, someone in the transportation crew had made a mistake in the height of the set-up - the plane was too high to go under the bridge.

The plane - a Boeing 737-300 with its wings and nose removed - was being transported from Seletar Airport to the airport emergency services training ground of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) in Upper Changi Road, The Straits Times reported.

STOMPER Jackson, who sent in the pictures, told STOMP that he saw the stuck plane when he looked outside his window at 1.30pm. He lives in Block 492, Tampines Avenue 9.

"I found it so interesting that I went over there to take some shots," he says.

Perhaps they were actually doing ERP gantry testing for airplanes?
