Pump petrol, help the elderly
>By Tony Ng

Motorists and the elderly have another reason to cheer for with the recent opening of a Shell and 7-Eleven alliance station in Ang Mo Kio Ave 6.

From today to Nov 9, Shell will donate three cents for every litre of fuel pumped to the Asian Women's Welfare Association (AWWA) Elderly Services. This comes on top of the sponsorship of a year's supply of fuel for AWWA's transport service.

This month-long donation drive will be used to support initiatives such as a community home that offers sheltered housing and AWWA's READYCARE Centre, which provides rehabilitation and day-care services for seniors suffering from physical dysfunction.
