Cab crashes into coffeeshop

As a result of an accident with a lorry, a yellow CityCab crashed into a coffeeshop. But not before it flew across a drain and demolished an electrical box in the process.

The accident occurred at about 2.45am yesterday at the junction of Sims Avenue and Aljunied Road, according to Stomp.

A reader, Keith, told Stomp that "the taxi driver was in shock and slightly injured by the shattered glass."

It was by a stroke of luck that there were no soccer matches showing on television. Otherwise, there would be people sitting at the spot where the taxi landed.

Keith also said that there were no serious injuries. He said, "The traffic police and tow truck arrived and the taxi was towed away."
