LOVE your XFR but don't get many opportunities to stretch its massive five-litre V8 engine?
Well, you would have enjoyed the Jaguar Dynamic Drive Day organised by distributor Malayan Motors this week.
And if you had been there, perhaps the nicest part of it all was the fact that those tyres screeching around the sprawling grounds of the Changi Exhibition Centre weren't even those of your own car.
A professional driver from Jaguar UK was on hand to show off the finer aspects of the supercharged Jaguar XFR with its 510 horses and stonking 625 Newton metres of torque.
Laurence Plummer and 50 participants went around two specially-constructed slalom courses in the XFR saloon and the XK Portfolio coupe.
The first high-speed section demonstrated the big cats' ABS and traction control systems under emergency braking, as well as Jaguar's Active Differential Control feature, which limits rear wheel slip for better handling around fast corners.
At the other section, a slalom course highlighted Jaguar's new Adaptive Dynamics system. Here the suspension system's active dampers automatically adjust the settings to adapt to both road conditions and the way the car is being driven.
The cars were also driven with the features de-activated to further illustrate the systems' effectiveness.
The 50 guests - both Jag customers and prospects - were invited by Malayan Motors for one-and-a-half days of driver training at no cost.
