READER BOB TAN

I APPRECIATE the article as it bravely highlights the grace we are beginning to lose in an increasingly crowded island-state.

I applaud Mr Siva's big heart and agree with what he says about Singaporeans not giving way to ambulances.

In Melbourne, where I study, even the ugliest hoons (hooligans on the road) driving theirV8 supercars have enough grace to give way to ambulances.

I believe we can learn from this episode.

READER KHAIRULAZMI

THE ruckus drew more than 30 onlookers.

Couldn't they have helped the ambulance driver?

Surely 30 people are enough to hold down the two attackers, one in his 50sand the other in his 20s.

I salute Mr Siva for his patience and his ability not to react at the level of these men.

I hope he engages a lawyer and sues them for their incorrigible act.

READER VASANTHI RAMA SENDREN

MR SIVACHANDRAN has really behaved like a man.

Never at any moment did he lift a finger to retaliate. He has been raised well as a child and as a fellow Singaporean.

The two men might have felt a sense of achievement after throwing the blows on him.

But they failed to realise that they are the losers.

Well done,Mr Sivachandran, you are the real winner in this road match.
