AsiaOne

Several roads in the Central Business District will be closed for a limited time today for the Singapore Exchange (SGX) Bull Charge 2008.

Motorists are advised to avoid the affected areas.

Connaught Drive will be closed from 3pm to 8pm. Some roads will be closed from 5pm to 6.30pm.

They are: one carriageway of Fullerton Road (towards Collyer Quay), Finlayson Green, Cross Street (between Raffles Quay and Robinson Road), Boon Tat Street (between Shenton Way and Robinson Road), Boon Tat Link (between Boon Tat and McCallum streets) and one carriageway of Esplanade Drive (towards Nicoll Highway).

Auxiliary police will be deployed at affected junctions to regulate traffic and help motorists.

Parking is also prohibited on peripheral roads. Illegally parked vehicles causing obstruction will be towed away, police said. Public buses serving the closed roads will be diverted during the closure periods.
