The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be carrying out a switchover to reopen the stretch of Old Airport Road between Cassia Link and  Guillemard Camp Road on Dec 29. It will take place between 1am to 5am.

The road was closed to traffic on Mar 18, 2006 to faciliate the construction of the Circle Line Dakota Station.

The original road alignment will be reinstated and the following roads will be reconnected to the Old Airport Road:

  • Jalan Satu (beside Block 99)
  • Dakota Crescent (beside Block 60)
  • Dakota Crescent (beside Block 62)

A signalised pedestrian crossing will be installed at the junction of Jalan Satu and Old Airport Road.

The existing temporary traffic lights at the junction of Old Airport Road and Jalan Enam will be decommissioned.

The temporary right turn facility from Old Airport Road to Jalan Enam will no longer be available.

Guillemard Camp Road will be closed permanently. The traffic lights at the junction of Guillemard Camp Road and Guillemard will also be decommissioned.

Motorists are advised to drive along carefully during the switch over period on Dec 29 and follow the directions of the enforcement officers.
