I DRIVE a four-wheel- drive vehicle and, of late, I hear clicking noises whenever I put it into Drive mode and accelerate. What could be causing the noise?

Loud clicking noises may be caused by worn axle components. They could also be made by worn-out brakes scraping against the brake rotors (discs).

You should have the vehicle checked immediately as the problem can cause further damage to it.
