MY CAR has a tendency to drift to the left. On my last visit to the workshop, a wheel alignment check was done. However, nothing has changed. What is the problem?
SOME cars tend to drift slightly to one side, even when there are no road cambers. As long as you are not exerting effort to correct the steering, and the effect is not as bad as that produced by road cambers, this should not be a major problem.
However, if the drift is more noticeable, check to see if your car has different makes of tyres on an axle (front and rear). Following that, check that the tyre pressure is correct, perform a four-wheel alignment, ensure that the brakes are not binding and, finally, try swopping the front and rear tyres to see if the situation improves.
