QUESTION: I am driving a Subaru WRX '07. Recently whenever my car come to a near stop or about to drive off at a low speed, it has this howling sound coming from the rear of my car. During cruising speed there isn't any sound.? Is the because of my brakes or rotator disc? Please advise.

Wilson

ANSWER: Yes. It is possible that the howling sound was caused by the brake pad rubbing against the brake disc, especially if you've recently changed the brake pad and the pad surface is not level with the disc.

It could also be that the brake pad is sickly. To confirm, we suggest that you send it to a workshop for checking.
