Who says the term 'Wags' (wives and girlfriends) only applies to football?
The Wags of motor car enthusiasts were out in force at the MPT Super Time Attack last Monday.
While their male companions slugged it out on the Sepang International Circuit
under the hot sun, their Wags soaked in the atmosphere and took on the role of cheerleaders.
To most of the participants, the MPT Super Time Attack was a family affair.
Some brought their wives and girlfriends while others had their female friends cheering for them.
Jeslyn Goh, 30, was one of those who made the special trip to Sepang to lend her support to her friends from Fong Mui Garage R Trading.
The sales executive owns a Subaru WRX back in Singapore but travelled to Sepang with a group of friends in a multi-purpose vehicle.
She told The New Paper: "This is my first trip out of Singapore to a motor car event.
"I heard that there are a lot of good drivers coming up here, so I came to take a look.
"My friends also told me that there are a lot of nice cars on display.
"I'm not a racer like most of my male friends, but I love fast cars."
In the absence of partisan crowds normally seen at the Malaysian F1 races, the Wags lighted up an otherwise dull and lifeless Sepang circuit on a hot Monday afternoon.
EYE CANDY
There was no lack of eye candy as the girls lapped it up on the scorching hot lanes of Sepang.
And they were there not to just look pretty. Armed with their cameras, they moved from paddock to paddock to marvel at the cars on display.
They ogled at Japanese driver Nobuteru Taniguchi's red-hot CT230-R Mitsubishi Evolution and the one-of-its-kind Lotus Exige 300RR driven by Singapore's Denis Lian.
They braved the searing heat to catch the sizzling action on the track.
In between races, they kept themselves entertained by reading newspapers or chit-chatting with other Wags.
And what is a motor event without race queens?
Brolly-wielding models spruced up the occasion with their sexy outfits and luscious figures.
Who says motor races are the domain of testosterone-fuelled men?
Even without taking to the lanes, the Wags proved that they, too, can have a ball of a time.
