Watching these full-length episodes of Top Gear that are more than two years old is like watching Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge. You know it's dated, but she's still oh-so-hot.
The cars you'll be seeing in season 7 of this award-winning series will not be the latest models available in showrooms, simply because this 9-episode series first aired in the UK way back in November 2005.
Featured testdrives include the Audi RS4, Pagani Zonda F, Volkswagen Golf R32, and the Porsche Cayman.
All really great cars, but not the latest in the market. But then again, that's not really the reason people watch Top Gear, is it?
I don't know about you, but I personally prefer seeing cars being thrown around, pummelled and pushed beyond the limits of sanity, and then some.
Some of the mayhem this season
- Real-life cars being driven by remote control
- An Audi RS4 goes head-to-head against speed climbers to reach the top of a 1,200-foot cliff
- A Mazda MX-5 is pitted against a dog
- A battle between three 'supercars' that cost less than $30,000 each
- Ten Suzuki Swifts in a 5-a-side hockey match
- Top Gear's version of the Winter Olympics
So, it may not be brand-new, but I'd still watch a Mitsubishi EVO 8 go up against a bobsleigh (Episode 7) over 'Phua Chu Kang' any day.
