Win FREE Parking for Ferraris

I was on my daily commute to work the other day, when I spotted a Honda Airwave with what appeared to be an inordinate number of gauges mounted on the dashboard.

Nothing too strange about having seven gauges on your dashboard (I've seen more!), but what set this car apart was that the gauges were all on the passenger side of the car.

Then as I got closer, I realised that they weren't actually gauges, but Shell's scale model Ferraris that had been painstakingly glued or taped to this man's car.

After my two seconds of utter incredulity, I realised that this driver had raised a genuine problem.

Like every other scale model I've bothered to assemble, there really hasn't been any follow-up effort to display the finished product in a fuss-free, dignified manner.

Leaving your miniature cars, tanks, aircraft carrier, on the shelf to collect dust really doesn't count.

So I raised my concerns to the people at Shell, who to my surprise, told me that they were now retailing an acrylic "garage" to house all seven cars.

For $29.95 (or 800 Shell Escape points if you're subscribed to their rewards scheme), it's got no power doors or extra space to store your odds and ends, but it'll definitely hold your seven 1:38 scale Ferraris snugly so you can show it off somewhere other than on your dashboard.

A much neater solution if you ask me, and I bet the chap in the Airwave will probably agree.
