Mr Lee Nian Tjoe, age 29, has been appointed the new editor of Torque, taking over from motoring veteran Christopher Tan in January.
He was the former deputy editor of the magazine and has been with Torque since 2001.
Mr Tan, a senior motoring correspondent with The Straits Times, will remain with Torque, but as a consulting editor.
Acknowledging Mr Tan's contributions to Torque, Ms Caroline Ngui, SPH Magazines' Group Editor-in-Chief, said: "During his tenure as editor, the readership of Torque had increased by more than twofold and advertisers' confidence had also increased tremendously.
"Chris' appointment as consulting editor means that the editorial team will continue to benefit from his revolutionary vision of the magazine as an upbeat, sexy and yet stylish publication."
Saying that Torque is in good hands, Mr Tan added: "Nian Tjoe has done his share of both the exciting and the mundane duties at Torque. On top of the road test reports each month, it's also his business to work out the details in new sections in the magazine.
"I also believe that his leadership and management style will certainly put the editorial team in good stead to meet the requirements of Torque's readers."
