Fastlane: A5 targets BMW Coupe

This is the A5, Audi's first attempt in 20 years at unseating BMW's 3-series coupe.

At 4,630mm tip to tip, the A5 is slightly bigger than the 3-series sedan and coupe. Its seats four and has a sizeable 455-litre boot.

Although deliveries in right-hand-drive Britain start in July, Asia-Pacific markets will get the car only in the second quarter of next year. It will debut along with a 354-horse S5 quattro, followed by a convertible by 2009.
