Fastlane: Air-con on, engine off

CITROEN is set to launch a full four-seater cabriolet with a foldable hard top. It will unveil the C5 Airscape concept at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show. Featuring a carbon-fibre folding roof and a striking design, the C5 Airscape is pitched to compete with the likes of Volkswagen's Eos and Volvo's C70. The concept has a hybrid drivetrain, in the form of a reversible alternator-starter and super capacitors which can run the air-con when the petrol engine is off.
