AUDI'S new A4 will heat things up in a segment occupied by Mercedes' C-class and BMW's 3-series. It has the longest wheelbase in the segment (2,808mm) and a 480-litre boot. The sharpest-looking A4 to date, the car will have engine choices like a 160hp 1.8-litre turbo and 265hp 3.2-litre V6. Gearboxes include a faster-shifting six-speed Tiptronic and an even smoother continuously-variable transmission.
