>A TIRED driver may be more dangerous than a tipsy driver. A study done by UK car magazine What Car? revealed that sleep-deprived drivers fared worse in tests than drivers who had 25 per cent more alcohol in their blood than allowed.

The tests were conducted in simulators at the Transport Research Laboratory.

Tips for those planning driving holidays: Stop at least once every two hours for a good 20 minutes. If you feel sleepy, find a safe place and stop, lock your doors and take a 20-minute nap.
