THEY haven't had enough of fighting. So they took it to the hospital.
A group of 20 motorcycle gang members - commonly known as Mat Rempit - stormed the Accident and Emergency Department of Selayang Hospital in Selangor on Wednesday, armed with parangs, wooden poles and metal rods.
They were on a bid to finish off a fight which started six hours earlier apparently over a girl.
According to Harian Metro, a fight broke out at Taman Intan Baiduri housing estate when four men and two girls were attacked by 18 others while having a drink.
A witness, identified only as Shafik, 17, told Harian Metro: "In the commotion, the two girls were abducted by the rival group. The first group then gathered their friends and, armed with parangs and knives, they went looking for the rival group."
He said a fight broke out and one of them was believed to have been slashed.
According to China Press, another man was also injured, and they were both rushed to the Selayang Hospital.
However, one of the gangs was said to be unhappy over how the fight ended, and wanted to continue fighting.
So a few hours later, four of them returned to the hospital to seek revenge.
The men ended up fighting near the helicopter pad of the hospital, reported Harian Metro. Then a hospital security guard stepped in to try and bring the situation under control.
He ended up being grabbed by one of the men who held a parang to his throat.
The situation was so bad that the police officers who were called to the hospital were forced to fire two warning shots to defuse the situation.
Three men were arrested on the spot, with another 11 gang members arrested later.
According to China Press, one of the men sent to the hospital died of severe head injuries the same night.
However, the cousin of the 16-year-old victim claimed that he is not a gang member, but an innocent passerby.
The cousin claimed that victim was eating with his friends when they witnessed a group of men forcibly taking a girl away from her mother.
The group allegedly assaulted the mother.
The cousin claimed that the gang then turned on the victim and his friends, and started chasing them.
As the victim had just recovered from a bout of fever, he was weak and could not run fast enough.
He was cornered by eight men who beat him up. He was later sent to hospital.
And it was there that the victim's friends and the gang clashed a second time.
ARRESTED
Meanwhile, in a separate case, two motorcycle gang members have been remanded after a police raid.
Harian Metro reported that they are part of a gang of seven believed to have abducted and raped two 13-year-old girls in Tampin.
The suspects, aged 18 and 19 years, ran away when the police, acting on a drug tip off, raided the house where they were keeping the girls.
Two men were later arrested after the girls made a police report.
Five other motorcycle gang members are still at large.
