>PORSCHE is expected to introduce its version of the dual-clutch transmission when its 911 facelift breaks cover in the next nine months or so. The technology, hailed as the best automatic system with manual quick-shift function, was popularised by affiliate Volkswagen five years ago. It is now found in cars like the Nissan GT-R, Mitsubishi Evo X and BMW M3. It is unclear if Porsche will continue to offer cars with Tiptronic transmission - an 'automatic manual' it introduced about 20 years ago.
