Cracks near toll plaza area

BIG cracks appearing on the road at the Puchong Barat toll plaza of the Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP) are causing jitters among drivers.

There are cracks near the left toll booth from Puchong heading towards Subang Jaya and Shah Alam. The area is found to be sinking.

Road users want to know the cause of the cracks. They hope no untoward incident will happen to any driver.

When contacted, Litrak communications executive Partiban P. said the company was aware of the problem and had appointed an independent engineering consultant to conduct a detailed investigation.

"The cracks and the sinking of the road can only be determined after the investigation is completed," he said.

Partiban assured the public that the situation posed no danger to road users.

"The sinking area is away from the toll plaza," he said.

According to Partiban, the investigation will take from six months to a year to be completed.

"There will be some soil tests and instruments are required to facilitate the consultant's investigation," he said.

"Permanent repair work will be carried out in stages as and when the findings of the investigation is concluded," Partiban said.

Should LDP users have any enquiries regarding the situation, they can contact Litrak communications department at 03-7494 7014 between 8am and 5pm or e-mail info@litrak.com.my.
