Fastlane: Peugeot-Citroen's green engines

PSA Peugeot-Citroen, one of the world's leading engine producers, will build a new family of 1-litre, three-cylinder petrol engines with powers ranging from 70 to 100hp.

These engines are aimed at reducing fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission, without new technology.

A new plant with an annual capacity of 600,000 engines will start rolling out the new engines from 2011.
