'To date, about 60 per cent of the 20 million monthly Nets CashCard transactions are generated from the 800 carpark systems and 35,000 non-motoring-related applications like food and retail outlets. Feedback on CashCard usage in these areas has been positive.
The remaining percentage of CashCard transactions are generated from ERP payments.
As the ERP payment system is technically complex and contingent on the in-vehicle unit (IU), ERP gantry and CashCard working in tandem, it is not uncommon to have a problem attributed to multiple factors during investigations.
What's important to note is that transactions with reported issues form only a portion of the overall volume and are isolated within the ERP payments only.
Nets has investigated both the IUs and the CashCards. Findings suggest there is a compatibility issue with some IUs.
We have taken steps so that every CashCard is tested on our reference IUs and have released cards that meet our stringent quality standards.
If customers have faulty cards or encounter any other card problems, they can visit our customer service centre for a test on our reference IUs.
If the card is found to have a problem, they will be entitled to a one-for-one replacement.'
