Party time with motoring's A-listers

Quaich bar near Copthorne Hotel at Waterfront Plaza was buzzing with the motoring personalities of Singapore last night.

Around 30 media and motoring heads mingled in the cosy bar for an evening of fun and food hosted by the Singapore Press Holdings.

Whiskey, beer and girls dressed in miniskirts caught the eye as they walked around filling up glasses by the dozen.

Big names, such as Borneo Motors-Toyota, Volkswagen and Harley Davidson were all represented. Professionals from these well-known brands got together and chit-chatted about the latest car models and current affairs issues. Hot topics of the night were the rising petrol prices and diesel car issues.

And some took this opportunity to tell others about new products from their company. One was Mr Paul Sussman, ProMed USA's regional manager, who spoke enthusiastically about his company's new autodry wash cloth, Kozak.

The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed as most were getting together to catch up with each other. As conversation ebbed and flowed, alert yet unobtrusive wait staff kept the food and drinks flowing.

Deals may or may not have been made during the evening, but one thing is for sure - those in the motoring world ride and party in style.
