Valets to stay till Sunday

By Sumathi V. Selvaretnam

THE Housing Development Board has allowed controversial valet services at Holland Village to continue over the weekend, but patrons and business owners are concerned about what will happen after they close Sunday night.

Some bar and restaurant goers told The Straits Times they would think twice about going to the area - which some said has a shortage of lots - if there was no-one around to park their cars.

That is the worst-case scenario for businesses, who have deals with two valet companies that operate out of an HDB carpark.
