More frequent traffic updates

Motorists can look forward to more frequent and up-to-date traffic news from Oct 28 onwards.

Stations 938LIVE, Capital 95.8FM, Warna 94.2FM and Oli 96.8FM will broadcast traffic updates up to five times more frequently than during the current morning and evening peak hours, which are from Mondays to Fridays 6.30am - 9.30am and 5.30pm - 8.30pm.

Motorists will be informed on accidents, vehicle breakdowns, obstructions and roadworks, as well as emergency situations.

The LTA hopes that this initiative will help motorists to better plan their routers.

With real-time traffic information, motorists can opt to take alternative routes, thus reducing traffic to the incident location, ultimately reducing congestion and cutting travel time.
