Big cat power

'Wildcat' is not the most appropriate term for a marque as refined as the Jaguar. But when it unleashes a 510bhp feline capable of smokin' the century sprint in under five seconds, few other words come to mind. The Jaguar XFR, with its stonking 5-litre V8, takes pride of place on the cover of this month's Torque, a motoring monthly produced by SPH Magazines.

Also on the cover is newcomer Artega, a year- old German boutique brand that is unsettling the establishment with its beautiful GT.

This month's power struggle is between Audi's supercharged A6, Volvo's turbo'd S80 T6 and, surprise, Lexus' petrol-electric hybrid GS450h.

And if the resale value of your car is keeping you up at night, this month's analysis should help.

Torque, out at newsstands now.
