Aston Martin DB9's new soundstage

Aston Martin DB9 owners will soon have another option to spec their cars. Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen have introduced the BeoSound DB9, a bespoke audio system developed and designed exclusively as an option for the DB9.

The system was developed exclusively for Aston Martin to be perfectly matched to the DB9, both acoustically and physically.

Activating the BeoSound DB9, Aston Martin says, would let the twin acoustic lens speakers emerge from either side of the dashboard.

The system incorporates proprietary ICEpower technology. With two tweeters, five mid-range speakers, three further tweeters and three woofers, there are a total of 13 speakers placed in ten spots around the car.

Bang & Olufsen's advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) unit also provides a dynamic soundstage that adapts automatically to changing road and noise conditions.
