The latest flagship, which could arrive in Singapore as early as year-end, will feature the next generation of Jaguar's aluminium body architecture.
It will have new and more efficient engines, including a V6 diesel and a 510bhp supercharged V8.
There will be a choice of standard or long-wheelbase models.
Options include a panoramic glass-roof.
CNG CARS AT ENDURANCE RACE
Volkswagen will field two compressed natural gas-powered Sciroccos at the 24-Hour Race on Germany's Nurburgring next month.
The use of CNG for this endurance race is significant as gas-fuelled cars sometimes suffer from poorer output and range.
The two 2-litre GT24-CNG Sciroccos are turbocharged (also unusual for CNG cars), each capable of nearly 300bhp and 350Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a six-speed DSG transmission driving the front wheels. Volkswagen says its new generation of natural gas turbo engines take full advantage of the high anti-knock quality of natural gas, which has an octane value of about 130.
GHOSTLY APPEAL
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has named its latest model Ghost. Up till recently, the so- called "Baby Roller" has been known by its RR4 codename.
The Ghost is a 6.6-litre turbo sports sedan which should arrive here in February next year.
It is expected to be priced between $1 million and $1.2 million.
The name might take some getting used to in Asia, where many cultures consider the word inauspicious.
The name harks back to Rolls-Royce's early years, when the Silver Ghost was produced between 1906 and 1925.
