SMRT extends bus and MRT hours for Labour and Vesak days

SMRT will extend the hours of its MRT, LRT and selected bus services on Monday, April 30 and Friday, May 4 in lieu of Labour Day and Vesak Day.

North South, East West and Circle Lines

The last Northbound, Eastbound and Westbound trains will depart from City Hall Interchange Station at 12.30am on May 1 (Labour Day) and May 5 (Vesak Day).

Passengers on these last trains can transfer to the Circle Line at Dhoby Ghaut, Bishan, Paya Lebar and Buona Vista Interchange stations.

Passengers on the last Westbound train can transfer to the last Southbound train (ending at Kranji MRT Station) departing Jurong East Interchange Station at 1.01am.

There will be no connecting Eastbound or Westbound train service for passengers on the last Northbound train arriving at Jurong East Interchange station.

Train services to and from Expo and Changi Airport MRT stations will not be extended. The last train timings are:

  • Departing Tanah Merah Station to Changi Airport Station - 11.50pm
  • Departing Changi Airport Station to Tanah Merah Station - 12.06am
  • Departing Expo Station to Tanah Merah Station - 12.11am

    Bukit Panjang LRT

    The last LRT train service will also be extended to match the last MRT train service at Choa Chu Kang MRT Station. It will depart Choa Chu Kang LRT Station at 1.24am on May 1 and 5.

    More information on train timings are available on notice boards at the respective stations.

    Feeder Bus Services

    Hours of selected feeder bus services will also be extended to match the last train timings:

    Bukit Batok  173A, 189A, 941, 945, 947 1.30am
    Choa Chu Kang 300, 302, 307 1.25am
    Sembawang 859A 1.20am
    Woodlands 901, 911, 912, 913 1.15am
    Yishun 804, 812 1.25am
