The junction of Rochor Road and Victoria street is said to be the site where numerous accidents occur.
On Saturday, a horrific accident involving a Ferrari, a taxi and a motorcycle claimed two lives.
Saturday's collision was the seventh to have occurred there within a period of two weeks.
Both the Ferrari driver, 31-year-old Chinese businessman Ma Chi, as well as the taxi passenger, a woman in her 20s died in the accident. They were trapped in their respective vehicles.
Mr Muhammad Najib Ghazali, the motorcyclist involved in the crash, is currently in hospital with spinal injuries, while the taxi driver, Mr Cheng Teck Hock is in a coma.
One netizen commented on citizen journalism website Stomp: "Over the years, I have heard of so many accidents at this troubled area at the junction of Rochor Road and Victoria Street.
"With such a high rate of collisions happening there, I can't help but wonder why nothing has been done to fix the problem.
"Something must be done to force drivers to slow down at that area, and also prevent them from making the turn there at high speed."
