Image of Lamborghini police car makes rounds on Internet

A netizen uploaded this image online earlier this week much to the amusement of many online users.

Clearly taken in Singapore, a white Lamborghini was photographed and then 'photoshopped' to include the tell-tale signs of a local police car.

The flashing lights and 'Police' text were included into the copy and then uploaded onto entertainment website 9gag.com.

Local citizen journalism website Stomp also reported that it had received this picture several times from various amused netizens.

Netizens debated the possibility of acquiring Lamborghinis to use as patrol cars. Some humoured that there would be no point due to the infrastructure of Singapore's roads.

Others took a more serious stance by pointing out that in Italy, the Lamborghini police cars were donated by the supercar maker, but if Singapore were to acquire the cars, taxpayers' money would have to be used.

"The Italian Carabinieri have a few lambo police cars as they were donated by Lamborghini. In Singapore's case, whose money do you propose to use in order to buy a Lamborghini? Taxpayers?" queried Alamakman.
