COE higher across the board

Certificate of entitlement (COE) has ended higher across the board at the latest tender released today.

The COE for cars 1,600cc and below went up from July's bidding of $68,566 to $73,501, a new record despite taxis having been removed from this category.

COE for cars above 1,600cc went up from $90,501 to $94,502.

COE for commercial vehicles and buses went up from $55,805 to $57,001 and motorcycles went to $2,801 from $1,859.

The open category where any vehicle type is applicable although it mainly ends up used for bigger cars finished at $95,034, up from $92,700.
