F1 road closures from Sept 19 to 25

A series of road closures affecting the Marina Centre area will take place from September 19 to 25, to facilitate the setting up and dismantling of the race infrastructure.

Affected roads will be closed from 0001hrs, September 19 (Wednesday) to facilitate the set-up of race infrastructure.

The affected roads will reopen progressively after the race and all roads will be fully accessible by 5am, September 25 (Tuesday) onwards.

The following stretch of roads will still be accessible during the morning peak hours from Sept 19 to 22, 5am to 9.30am:

Pre-race (Sept 19 to 21)

- A stretch of Fullerton Road, St Andrew’s Road and Stamford Road on September 19 (Wednesday) and September 20(Thursday). Motorists from Nicoll Highway can also turn right into Stamford Rd towards Penang Road.

- Nicoll Highway, Esplanade Drive and the stretch from Republic Avenue to Bayfront Avenue between September 19 (Wednesday) and September 21(Friday)

Race weekend (Sept 22 - 23 )

Nicoll Highway and Esplanade Drive on September 22 (Saturday).

On Sept 24, Nicoll Highway, Esplanade Drive, the stretch from Republic Avenue to Bayfront Avenue and Raffles Boulevard will be accessible from 6am and 9.30am and between 5pm and 8.30pm.

During the road closure period, a single-lane along Nicoll Highway and Raffles Boulevard will be accessible to motorists who want to get to the car parks of the various buildings within the Marina Centre area.

The lane will be accessible at these times:

Pre-race and first race day (Sept 19 – 21 ): Between 10am and 5pm; 10pm and 6am

Race weekend (Sept 22 – 23): Midnight to 1pm

Post race day (Sept 24 ): 10am and 5pm and 10pm and 6am

Besides the single-lane, motorists can also enter the area via Temasek Boulevard from the ECP slip road to Rochor Road throughout the day. Access via these two routes will be regulated if traffic volume is unusually high.

Motorists are strongly advised not to stop their vehicles indiscriminately so as not to obstruct the traffic flow. Traffic wardens will be deployed on site to direct traffic and assist the public.

Road information and directional signs will be put up in the vicinity to direct motorists.

Five Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) gantries will also not be in operation at certain times due to the F1. For more information, click here.
