Scrambled eggs and traffic jam

SINGAPORE - Traffic was held up for more than half an hour on Thursday at the junction of Bedok North Avenue 3 and Bedok North Road, after a truck spilled trays of eggs onto the road.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call at 11.59am about the incident. A fire engine arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later.

Using shovels and a hose-reel jet, SCDF personnel cleared the 5m by 5m patch of slick yellow debris. On the sunny side, traffic flow was restored by 12.50pm.
