This is the 530bhp Porsche 911 GT2, capable of hitting 100kmh in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 329kmh. And yet, it will cover 100km on 12.5 litres of petrol. That's quicker than a Ferrari F430, but far less thirsty.

Features which distinguish it from the 480bhp 911 Turbo, which it is based on, include titanium tailpipes and carbon ceramic brakes. It is expected to land here in the first quarter of next year
