Transport Minister wants more done to lower costs

>In response to media queries on the announcements by the public transport operators and the Public Transport Council (PTC) to reduce bus and train fares for 2009, Minister for Transport, Mr Raymond Lim said:

"I understand the concerns of Singaporeans over transport costs in these difficult times.

I am pleased that the public transport operators will pass on the savings from the Budget to commuters. I hope that in their working together, the operators and the Public Transport Council will explore what more can be done to lower transport costs for commuters."
