Board of inquiry to look into case of SMS-ing bus driver

WE REFER to the letter, 'Bus driver types SMS on the road', by Ms Jolene Ng (my paper, Nov 13).

We are appalled to learn of our bus captain's very poor conduct.

He has not only violated company regulations but, more importantly, compromised the safety of our passengers and other road users.

This is not something we condone and we will be convening a board of inquiry to look into this serious breach.

Once again, we apologise for our bus captain's lapse and thank Ms Ng for bringing the matter to our attention.

Ms Tammy Tan
Vice-President
