Facelifted Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT and Grandis launched

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia yesterday launched the facelifted Lancer 2.0 GT sedan and enhanced Grandis 2.4 MPV.

New on the revised Lancer is a fresh front featuring a reprofiled bumper and a bolder front grille with a chrome outline for Mitsubishi's signature "jet-fighter" grille, reminiscent of the style of the iconic Lancer Evolution.

The car continues to work with the GEMA 4B11 2.0l 16-valve twin-cam block, with no change to the output of 153bhp of power and 199Nm of torque, or any revisions to the INVECS-III CVT tranny.

The interior continues pretty much like before too, with automatic climate control, a 6-speaker CD/MP3 sound system with steering wheel controls and a multi-information display being part of the inventory list.

There's a new shade though, solid white, and this joins Black Mica and Red Metallic as the three available colours for the 2.0 GT.

Meanwhile, the Grandis receives a refreshened exterior and more equipment in the interior.

The vehicle gets a new body kit comprising extensions on the front and rear bumpers as well as side skirts that match the 17-inch alloy wheels perfectly. Door visors on all four doors complete the exterior changes.

Inside, all seven seats and door inserts are now trimmed with black combination leather for a plush feel, while the steering wheel and gear knob are now wrapped in black leather. Stylish scuff plates add a touch of class to the cabin.
